Dr. Fohrman is a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist with more than 25 years experience treating patients with a wide range of issues and concerns. Dr. Fohrman trained in the military and was the former Chief of Mental Health for the 1st Armored Division, while stationed in Germany. He completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at University of California, San Diego. He subsequently became board Certified in Child and Adolescent psychiatry, in addition to being board certified in General Psychiatry.

Dr. Fohrman believes in a wholistic approach toward care of his patients. When patients are not doing well, their loved one are suffering as well. Often times other types of interventions, like individual or family therapy and addressing untreated substance use or other medical problems are just as important as using medication to address a patient's concerns.

Dr. Fohrman's areas of experience include the prevention and treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in military veterans, first responders and others exposed to traumatizing events.  More recently Dr. Fohrman has developed expertise in the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to treat psychiatric conditions such as treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD and OCD.
